Why isnt my iphone 4s at at&t yet?

So on monday my dad went to the at&t store and ordered me a white iphone 4s.At&t said it would come in today(friday).So my dad called them today and they said my phone is not there i dont get it like when will i get my phone like do u think it would come tomorrow or what?
